Video Editor — Long-Form & Social Media Content
Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area | Part-time or Project-Based | On-site event presence required
Sparknify is seeking a versatile and creative Video Editor with a strong grasp of modern editing styles and trends — from cinematic long-form storytelling to fast-paced, short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
You’ll be working across a variety of programs and events that blend education, technology, and innovation. This role is perfect for someone who’s not only skilled in editing but also excited about capturing live moments and turning them into engaging content that speaks to a digital audience.
What You’ll Do:

Edit long-form content, including interviews, panel discussions, classes, and studio shows

Create short-form videos tailored for social media — with strong pacing, captions, memes, and trends in mind

Capture footage at events (workshops, speaker panels, student showcases, etc.) in and around the Bay Area

Add visual polish: transitions, lower thirds, motion text, sound design, and dynamic effects

Organize, label, and manage video assets for ongoing and upcoming projects

Collaborate with our content, education, and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand voice and storytelling impact
Who You Are:

Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to attend in-person events and shoots
-
Skilled in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
-
Confident in both long-form narrative editing and short-form vertical video formats
-
Familiar with social media video trends and capable of editing content that resonates with Gen Z and modern online audiences

Comfortable shooting video in live environments (basic camera and audio skills a plus)
-
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
Bonus Points For:

Event Staff
Sparknify is a future-focused PR and marketing company that connects tech startup founders, investors, and creators through high-impact events, immersive campaigns, and community-driven experiences. We help global startups establish a strong presence in Silicon Valley and expand into international markets.
We’re looking for reliable, enthusiastic Temporary/Part-Time Event Staffs to coordinate and support our upcoming events. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience behind the scenes of a fast-paced, high-energy startup showcase—and to connect with some of the most exciting innovators in the Silicon Valley tech ecosystem.
Responsibilities:

Assist with event setup and teardown (backdrops, banners, chairs, signage, etc.)

Set up and help run basic AV systems (projectors, microphones, screens)

Greet, check in, and guide attendees and guests

Support speakers, vendors, and staff with on-site needs

Education Program Coach
Join Sparknify as an Education Program Coach — Inspire the Next Generation of Innovators
Sparknify is looking for dynamic, upbeat, and responsible college students or recent graduates to serve as coaches for our youth innovation programs. Whether it’s a one-day workshop or a multi-week course, our programs empower 4th to 8th grade students to explore the worlds of technology, entrepreneurship, and creative problem-solving.
As a coach, you’ll mentor students through hands-on learning experiences — from brainstorming product ideas and building prototypes to developing storytelling and public speaking skills. Our programs often culminate in live showcases or pitch presentations, giving students a platform to share their ideas with real-world professionals.
You’ll also get the opportunity to connect with Silicon Valley founders, startup mentors, and investors who regularly participate in our programs as guest speakers and workshop leads.
Key Responsibilities:

Event Videographer + Photographer
Part-Time / Contract | Must be based in the Bay Area
Sparknify produces tech-focused events that bring together startups, investors, creators, and innovators from across Silicon Valley and beyond. From pitch nights and panel discussions to networking mixers and showcase days, our events spotlight cutting-edge technology and the people building the future.
We’re looking for a reliable and creative Event Media Creator to capture both photos and video at our live events. This is a great opportunity for a growing content creator or freelance media professional to gain experience, build a standout portfolio, and work directly in the heart of the Bay Area tech ecosystem.
What You’ll Do:

Capture event photos that highlight speakers, attendees, and authentic moments — both candid and posed

Film and edit short video clips for social media, marketing reels, and recap content (e.g. 30-sec to 2-min highlight videos)

Work closely with the Sparknify team to cover key moments: speaker intros, pitch sessions, demos, sponsor booths, audience reactions

Maintain a professional and friendly presence while working the event floor
