Camp and Classes Information
Participant Safety
We have established the policies and procedures below to ensure the health and safety of all program participants and staff. We appreciate your trust in enrolling your child(ren) in our programs.
Guidelines and protocols in the Participant Safety Policy may change without notice based on updated guidance from local, state, and federal agencies. Sparknify will make every effort to notify caregivers of any updates promptly.
By enrolling a participant in a Sparknify program, caregivers certify that they have read and agree to comply with all policies. For the safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers, if a participant does not follow personal safety protocols, caregivers will be called to pick them up. No refunds will be provided for the remaining session of the day.
To uphold safety standards, program staff receive Mandated Reporter, First Aid/CPR/AED, Inclusion & Accessibility, and Safety & Emergency Protocol Training.

Participant Sign-in/Out & Late Pick-up

Camp or classes drop off takes place in front of the Midpen Media Center entrance on 900 San Antonio Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303. There is a designated check-in area, and each morning all participants must be escorted to the appropriate sign-in station and signed in by their caregiver; there is no curbside drop-off. Sign-in/out is a valuable opportunity to talk with Sparknify staff and find out any important notes or bulletins pertaining to your child’s program.

At the end of each day, participants MUST be signed out, and anyone picking up a participant must be prepared to show a photo ID. Children will not be released to anyone other than the individual(s) designated on their Emergency Contact and Pick-up Authorization lists. Caregivers can update Emergency Contact and Pick-up Authorization via email before program starts. During the program week, caregivers should provide updates to Sparknify staff directly during program drop-off in writing.

Participant sign-out time is:
3:00 PM for regular session. Extended Care (additional fee required) runs from 3:15 PM – 5:00 PM. Midpen Media Center is an active TV studio and can get busy during business hours. Parking in the afternoon may not be readily available. Please plan accordingly. There is no stopping or parking in the driveway.

Late Pick-ups

Picking up after 3:15 PM without prior enrollment in Extended Care or after 5:15 PM with Extended Care will incur a $50 late fee per hour.
